Big Ben deserves to be mentioned with the best IMO. He isn't great on the numbers side, but always seems to make a play when it's necessary.

He is clutch. That bomb he threw to Washington against Baltimore was a thing of beauty.

Good, not great. He's not in the top 3 quarterbacks of his era.

I agree!! BUT. This team would NOT be in the SB without him!! Think about it. ERA is a LONG time. Would I put Brady or Manning Or Brees Over him?? YES. BUT that is NOT the PITTSBURGH way. They have NEVER depended on a QB winnig the game for them. LOOK IT UP DUDE!!!!!!!!!!

Divisional Round vs. Colts 2005 he made a game saving tackle after Bettis fumbled. Not the most memorable play, but clutch indeed.

This is the problem, he's a very good quarterback. Unfortunately, lazy morons like to look at a team achievement (championships) as a measure of a player's greatness.
Big Ben exists to make Brady partisans who argue he's the best QB ever based on his number of titles look like the morons they are.

I kind of hope the Steelers win the Super Bowl. That way, the next time we have the Peyton vs. Brady debate, all of the Brady people will have to defend their guy against Big Ben by using, wait for it, actual individual performance.

Simple answer... frick no.

Dude is clutch. Makes plays when they are needed. He made at least 10 plays against the Jets that either converted a long third down (either running or passing), scored a td or clinched the game.

No, no, no...

Ben is more than just clutch or a winner or whatever.

Statistically, he's top-5. I repeat, top-5 in passer rating in 3 of the past 4 years.

I'm not saying he's the weak link, but there are at least 10 other QBs in the league that you could plug into that team and have the same success.

I think he's incredibly overrated. He's very good, but not elite.

Think of it this way...for next season would you take any other QB in his place or would you like him where he is?

I'd take:

Brees
Brady
Manning
Rodgers
Rivers
Ryan
and maybe even Vick over Big Ben.

Not even the most overrated QB in the history of the Steelers. Bradshaw won 3 Super Bowls and is considered great despite around a 1:1 TD:pick ratio, while I think Ben is better and is being called overrated by some on here for simply being called elite.

Eh, Brady almost managed to take a WR corps that had Reche Caldwell as the #1 to the SB.

Ryan over Big Ben?

He's on the same level as Rivers and Rodgers, just below Brady, Brees and Manning.

I think the Brees, Manning and Brady are about to take some steps back due to age, etc. and we'll have a fairly amorphous top-6 with Josh Freeman working his way in.

The guy is going for his 3rd NFL championship and he is only 28 years old. He is the most clutch quaterback in the NFL and there is no way in hell he is overratted.
