Big Ben exists to make Brady partisans who argue he's the best QB ever based on his number of titles look like the morons they are.

I kind of hope the Steelers win the Super Bowl. That way, the next time we have the Peyton vs. Brady debate, all of the Brady people will have to defend their guy against Big Ben by using, wait for it, actual individual performance.

This is a great post IMHO. Baloo bringing the heat

Why would anyone take Rivers or Ryan over Big Ben?

Hell nah Ben is not overrated. If anything underrated.

In the context of this discussion underrated would mean better than Brady. Do you think he's a better quarterback than Tom Brady?

Eh, Brady almost managed to take a WR corps that had Reche Caldwell as the #1 to the SB.

Receiver is probably the most serviceable position in the NFL.

Bradford, as a rookie, almost took the previously 1-15 Rams to the playoffs with Amendola, Gibson and an undrafted FA out of Missouri (Alexander). Plus, with the offensive system the Pats run they don't need super talented WRs.

I don't see how it can be really argued he is anything better than just a solid above average QB. He has never led the NFL in really anything.

Guys like Brady, Manning, Brees, and Rivers definitely have done it.

Awesome post. If we have legit stats to support and/or trash Ben, then we have some good arguments. Do not just say it was all due to his defense.

Aaron Rodgers would have 6 SBs if put in Roethlisbergers situation.

And zero rape accusations.

I would take Rivers over Big Ben because Rivers is a better QB. Big Ben didn't even become a top 10 QB in the NFL until last season (arguably). He has shown some greatness though over the last 2 seasons. He still isn't even on the same level as Brees, Manning, Rodgers, and Brady IMO

Really? 6 Super Bowls in 7 seasons?? Rivers must be the GOAT since no quarterback has ever won more than 4.

I didn't ask who would, I asked why would anyone take Rivers over Big Ben. Rivers stats aren't much better than Big Ben's and he certainly isn't clutch like Big Ben has been.
