That's cool and all but I liked it better when we went to WM and took it from them at their house.

Good thing too. Our 2 best teams were stopped in our house by Ted Davidson's Acadiana (including our ridiculously good 2014 team).

We are still trying to figure out how we won that game.

Some key factors:
-Campbell getting hurt
-Encroachment penalty when we forced y'all to punt
-Us not yet having figured out how to defend the veer
Wort loss in school history. We would've beaten any team not named Acadiana. In fact, if there was no split, we would've been on opposite sides of the bracket.
Question: was this game among the most surprising Acadiana wins? I'd have to say so. 2006 Catholic would have to be up there too.

Outside of maybe 1999 when a 6-4 Acadiana beat an undefeated Shaw (with Shyrone Carey) in the first round....Most definitely. We were 6-4 and had to execute a hook and lateral on the last play of the game to beat a bad Lafayette high team a couple weeks before. Davidson changed QB's in week 10 moved the linebacker to quarterback simply because he was the best athlete on the team. He didn't turn the ball over, the veer did its thing, the defense finally had some room to work and the rest is history. Out of all of his titles, this was his most impressive. Those guys coached their asses off in the playoffs. We've always had lots of respect when it comes to Ponch, and believe us we don't like matching up with you guys in the playoffs anymore than you do.

Zachary looks to be a 7 seed if EA and Destrehan win tonight.
I have
WM
Destrehan
Acadiana or EA

Walker or Ehret

Zachary.
Zachary would not be able to climb any higher than 6 if EA and Desty win.

Also coached by Hank Tierney.

Zachary looks to be 1-3 vs teams with a .500 record or better.
West Monroe is 7-0, but ya come on up and take it from them.
West Monroe takes state and no one is within 2 TD’s. of them.

Well two things. We only lost two games. One of them was to one of the best teams in the country. The other one was down 3 LBs.
And we did come up there last year. You may remember. I member.

9-1 Shaw maybe? WM beat Shaw in the Hap Gaudi Classic in the Dome to start the season.

I member you came up last year and had a good win for Zachary. But, last years win is not going to help them in the least, this Rebel team is better- more balanced.

Think WM beat either Catholic (subtract all 3 linebackers and play with JV backers) or University?
Just a question.

No idea, should be good games.
So now we have to put asterisks by Zachary losses now? You don’t think other teams have had guys miss games due to injuries? Sounds like excuses to me.

I just asked if you thought WM could be a high caliber opponent with backups backups. That is all. Yall start two backers right? Against a passing team like Catholic that is multifaceted in its offense?
Hell no ...
Last year they lost 2 and won.
Year before they lost 4 and still played WM to a tie at halftime with a freshman QB and 8 sophomores starting ..
You think Zachary wouldn't be undefeated with the schedule WM played? ..
McGill was a weaker version of Catholic and still should have won.

Zachary is 3 right now on la sportsline which is pretty reliable.
