If you were a projected 1st-3rd round daft pick would you play in your teams bowl game?

Upvote for no, downvote for yes.

This is beginning to be the new norm it seems. To be honest, I doubt I’d play either if I were a projected high round pick. One torn Achilles or ACL and you jeopardize millions of dollars.

I’d only play if it was in the colllege football playoff.

I’d play... right or wrong, for some people, it really is about more than the money..

What I don't understand is why they draw the line at the bowl game. Why not stop playing as soon as your team is out of contention for a division title? Why play in regular season games against the non-conference cupcakes? Why play the season at all?

Why even play during the season then?

I'd play if I was fully capable of doing so. I'd feel like I would owe it to my coaches and teammates.

But I also don't hold it against anyone who doesn't play

I wouldn't.

If I'm a stud RB or something that's an obvious Top 5 pick after my sophomore year. Yeah, I'm out. Unless the school buys me a fat insurance policy.

A lot of variables here. If my team is in a NY6 or the CFP then yes. If my team is in the Boca Raton bowl, depends on the position. If I was a RB, hell no, and if I were a coach I'd tell my star running back to sit if they want to don't feel pressured from the team to play. If you truly care about your kids and they're really highly rated it's the right thing to do. If I was pretty much any other position I'd probably play barring any special circumstance, I just don't think the chance of injury outweighs getting to play in your last college game.

It’s a business decision. The school should understand about making money.

probably not ... we've gone from 8 bowls to how many? ... all for the sake of ... money? ... so how can i blame a top tier rb for skipping something that might take away a 4 year window to make millions? ... this is the result of having so many meaningless bowl games ... don't want this to occur, lose the bowl games ...

if its a 3rd or mid 2nd and its a bowl with good viewership, then yes, you can up your draft stock to a 1st or high 2nd.

if you are a 1st rd pick, hell no, all you can do is lower you draft stock or get hurt
