I would keep it as it is. The point of me investing in a company is to make money, and they make lots of it!

1. Take Baseball tonight back to what it was with Dave Maresh.
2. Use OTL and E60 as investigative shows.
3. Make SC 30 minutes again
4. Use ESPN2 and ESPNU as your primary source of replays etc
5. Make ESPNEWS the primary news talk station
6. Use the main station as your primary live events
Thirst will never happen as Fox Sports killed their live sports by getting all regional sports basically. Fox has hurt ESPN but people don't see it due to Disney making horrid mistakes also.

Force Lee Corso, John Clayton, and Lou Holtz to fight to the death. The one who survives gets to be shot.

No more softball
No more WSOP. I still can't fathom why people enjoy watching other people play fricking cards on TV. Would rather televise checkers tournaments.

1) Expand NFL Matchup to be an hour long. Make that the game day show.
2) Sign deals to broadcast rugby and soccer. Show those shows more.
3) Change the afternoon talk shows from shouting match format to analysis and insight.
4) Expand OTL to an hour long show.
5) Add a sports business show.
6) Have a show that highlights amateur sports around the nation, with features on players and teams.
7) Return Sports Center to its old glory, which is being a great highlight show that also shows stories. Drop the editorial stuff and save it for the improved daily analysis and insight shows. In fact, have those shows be sport specific, rotating during seasons.
8) Drastically reduce commercials during game broadcasts, and hire intelligent play by play announcers and analysts who add value. Use the down time of the games to break down action that's occurred. Save the ads for between periods and pre and post game. Eliminate the extravagant and over the top intros, focusing more on substance than style.
That's how I'd start.

- Replace Mike and mike. Lose the manufactured formats...
- Sports business show is a legit idea.
- equal coverage for all pro teams.
- scale back women's basketball coverage.
- show more NCAA championship tournaments. Ex: I watched the NCAA Golf final (Texas v Bama) online and thought it was great tv. Would be awesome to have on ESPN.
-show more college baseball. More of an SEC network complaint....
- get rid of bowling...

Cover real news and stop inventing stories about LeBron, Tiger, Tebow and Danica.
Stop "creating" news because the real stories are boring: aka, have your insiders create Dwight Howard trade rumors and then report on them because they're now "news."
Turn sports news back into a meritocracy and stop gossiping about "celebrity athletes." They have become the TMZ of sports.

I like the late night sports talk show idea. I also think they should have a sports trivia game show.
