According to the bible, I mean Wikipedia:

quote:

Minnesota Golden Gophers football: Claimed national titles 7 (1904, 1934, 1935, 1936, 1940, 1941, 1960

I used CFB Data Warehouse's consensus titles. I feel they give the best unbiased take on national title count.

But Gophers want 7? Cool. Who does it hurt? Claim 7.

Lets look a little deeper shall we....

Well.....Before TAMU and Mizzou joined Ohio State was 4-12-1 vs the SEC ...take out the win over Arky and its 3-12-1. Those 3 wins were against a 4-3-3 Vandy team in 1933, a 5-4 Kentucky team in 1935 and a 8-4 LSU team in 1988.

Also vs Pre 2012 SEC teams, Ohio State only played 1 game in a SEC stadium during the regular season and that was a visit to Baton Rouge in 1987 that resulted in a tie. Thats contrary to SEC teams Pre 2012 that traveled to Ohio State a total of 4 times...for the the hell Ohio State fans give the SEC for not traveling north...doesnt seem you all travel south during the regular season to play

Also, Ohio State minus the Arky win is 0-11 vs the SEC in neutral site/Bowl games.

Oh...but congrats though on beating Mizzou 8x in the 30's and 40's to pad them SEC stats lol

Cute that you think that.

I will concur never is a strong statement, but we have had this discussion since 2007... whether it was your 'lock' first rounders, how you were not worried about USC blah blah blah.

You guys have been a cut below for years now and when lucky enough to stumble into the big game that has been demonstrated with painless ease.

But congrats on beating Cal by a score!!!!
