And the gift horse against Miami....the OSU glory year

tOSU has had a lot of glory years.

And despite the PI, Ohio State hung in there and won against one of the more talented teams in the BCS era.

The blowout against Florida is vastly overrated on here and in the nation.

tOSU isn't going anywhere and will continue to be a major player...sending elite talent to the NFL with the likes of USC, LSU and Bama.

This caricature of slow northern white man football is ridiculous.

Was this really trolling?

Kinda torn here.

I am at a loss on why you felt the need to entice SEC fanboys to point out the giant vagina that OSU, oh wait, THE Osu becomes when you play SEC teams.

Hey, I am lonely, let me trick you into pointing out my worst attributes and highlighting my SEC envy?

okay.

I'll highlight it because calling it SEC envy is ridiculous. There are three teams in recent history in the SEC that everyone could be envious of. LSU, Alabama and Florida. The rest of the teams in the conference generally range from bad to good and for the most part are riding on the success of the three programs I mentioned above. Kentucky, Vanderbilt or the rest of them chanting SEC, SEC, SEC is moronic.

This is not an argument you want to make. The black population in a number of non-southern states is comparable to, or on some cases higher than, the black population in southern states ( Illinois, for example, has more blacks than some southern states). While the proportion is higher in most southern states, the total black population isn't necessarily higher. The higher proportion of blacks in the population doesn't explain the phenomenon. I suspect there are socio-economic factors and social trends – like a higher level of participation in high school football among southern blacks, perhaps. But it isn't because there are significantly more blacks in the south, because there aren't.

I attribute it more to the fact that southern players have

a)better weather to train in year round
b)spring football in some states
c)led the wave of the 7 on 7 and skills camps

They've simply trained more over a longer period of time in many instances. Other areas are upping the training so I do think the gap may close. Also, basketball is huge in the north. Many elite athletes choose basketball over football.

Not really. There is no internet term for the equivalent of coming up to a bully and flicking him in the ear, only to have said bully punch you in the face repeatedly.

I mean, you could brag about how you made the bully mad, but you're the one with a broken nose and missing teeth.

I mean what did you expect starting a thread with a crap title and only post a

Congrats you have a good record vs A&M and Mizzou. Look at your record against the top 4-5 teams and then start a thread admitting how crappy you are against the best of the sec. Don't see you doing that though.

If it isn't in the BCS era, it doesn't mean a shite. This head/head comparison using leather helmet data is for losers who don't have a competitive edge anymore.

BCS only. Thats more than silly. Personally I look at things since the advent of the AP poll.

USC has a nice record against the Arkys/Texas A&Ms of the world, but they don't fare quite so well against the big boys:

vs Alabama, 2-5; vs LSU, 1-1 (wow, congrats); vs Florida, 0-1-1.

USC is 17-10-1 all-time versus the SEC.

Michigan is 24-9-1 all-time versus the SEC.

Notre Dame is 32-14 all-time versus the SEC
So the 70's and 80's were great
Love all the butthurt about the SEC's completely unquestionable dominance of college football.

The BCS was the first system that everyone agreed to play under.
