Because if a black man can't even go to Starbucks without getting arrested, then how in the hell do you expect a league that's blackballing players for protesting police brutality to select a black quarterback before the white ones?

He seems to be a stats guy, so I wonder how many black men go to Starbucks without being arrested each day. The arrest percentage has to be minuscule

Is this really the argument you want to make?

Also I think Baker Mayfield is going to be a bust. Watch the game tape when Clemson played Mayfield. Mayfield will have a lot of tape against bad defenses with superior personnel on his side that makes him look better than he really is.

Mayfield had two bad games in 3 seasons. Of the big prospects in this draft only Darnold faced tougher pass defenses on average last season. Obviously Mayfield performed the best of the QBs.

When he actually matched up with a good defense, he looked like a bad college QB.

That's Josh Allen's 1 TDs to 9 INTs against P5 teams

Try not to take the post seriously.It is not a argument for or against Lamar. Just pointing out the bust that was Jake Locker who was once considered for a number one overall selection

Will never forget this ignorant race baiting tweet from some radio guy:
James Kurdziel

@JamesRadio
Here’s how racism in sports reveals itself to me: if Tyrod Taylor, as a rookie, started a game and threw 5 interceptions in one half, he would be cut the next day. Now Nathan Peterman is getting another chance. That’s the racism to me. It’s about opportunities. It’s quiet.

I certainly don't think it's race related but it is pretty perplexing considering where Tyrod has been the past 3 years or so based on advanced metrics and getting benched/traded while other dudes in the same tier getting mega deals.

You’re right but the radio dude was ignorant of the situation at the time and went straight to race-baiting. Tyrod was hurt and Peterman was the only QB left. Not to mention rookie QBs are bound to have bad games. Racism isn’t the only possible answer for every possible question.

That is bullshite. Jackson is a physical freak who shite the bed repeatedly against elite defenses. When facing equal or better teams and talent he consistently failed. On the flip side deshaun Watson stepped his game up and performed the best in big games against big time competition.

Lamar was the best player we went up against that year (and we went up against Alabama, FSU and Oklahoma). Our defense was loaded with NFL DL and he made them all look like they were standing in quicksand. The wheels kind of fell off for him at the end of the season. His OL has been terrible the past two years.

He got shut the frick down by LSU in that bowl game. I hadn't watched a game of his before that one and I couldn't figure out how nobody could stop him. I was shocked he was drafted where he was following that performance.

Dude is a baller though and he's proved a lot of folks wrong this year, myself included. Will be fun to see if he can keep going for a long stretch of seasons.
