Does the Big 10 still change the rules to allow Indiana to go to Indianapolis?

Of course not.

Indiana would have no chance to win the CFP.

I also think it's the networks. Ohio St brings in the ratings. They don't want Indiana instead of OSU, just as they wouldn’t want A&M instead of OSU.

Of course not. It would be getting what it wants in that situation with Ohio State in the Big 10 championship.

Should be Cincinnati over A&M. Ohio State shouldn’t be in the conversation. But they’re a brand name. Nothing else.

Would you be asking this question if A&M wasn't in the top 10?

You cant answer this question because it is a complete hypothetical. If Indiana was ranked #4 in the polls and OSU was 12 then maybe they would have. The B1G ADs have been transparent in why this happened. OSU has a chance to make the playoffs. If Indiana had that same opportunity they may well have done the same

Yes
A one loss OSU wouldn’t be in the CFP picture. An undefeated Indiana would have a much better chance. You are overthinking this

In your scenario Indiana would have already beat OSU

I've done 0 research on this but spoke to an ex-OSU player yesterday and was satisfied with his argument.

If OSU took a forfeit and were 5-1 they would still be in the big 10 championship. If that's true - I have no problem with them preserving the forfeit to remain in the hunt for the playoffs, and participating in the Big 10 championship.

I'm pretty sure they needed unanimous consent to amend the rules.

So if that is the case, who knows what Ohio State would have done.

I'd like to assume we would accept Indiana as the winner of our game and the rightful division champ.

It doesn’t change the fact that he’s right. The Big 10 would only cater to Ohio State and Michigan.

If Ohio State had no shot at the CFP, they would amend the rules. Its that simple. Everyone wants money, especially right now.

It wouldnt matter anyway. Indiana has 1 loss... to osu. Even if osu had played and lost to mich, osu would be going to big 10 champ. Dont matter either way

Which the CFB playoff committee has made abundantly clear with their rankings of Indiana. ESPN is basically running that show.
