I agree. RC did that in a much different era of football. If he played now with RPOs, etc. he would be looked at differently.

No.

There is a long list of deserving HOF players yet to be voted on, especially QBs, and Cam isn’t better than many of those.

Losing that SB doesn’t help matters, as getting a ring could have helped separate him from other QBs with big numbers and other awards.

I doubt it.

Above average but not elite statistically. One Super Bowl and lost. That comes out to a guy like Ken Anderson.

I mean, where would you compare him to his contemporaries?

DEFINITELY BETTER
Brady
Brees
Rodgers
Roethlisberger
Peyton
Eli

COMPARABLE
Wilson
Stafford
Luck
Ryan
Rivers

No. He literally had one year where he was good, and they were embarrassed in the SB.

Nah. He’s in that next tier down like Cunningham and Simms. Ton of rushing TDs, but not that many passing TDs or yards. And behind Vick and Cunningham in rushing yards.

Not a H.O.F.er IMHO

This guy has about 7-8 years left IMO
You think when he eventually is atop or close to the top of all the passing stats he makes the HOF?

Stats right?

Nobody should get in when they were only the 6th to 8th best player at their position when you compare them to their contemporaries. Hall of Fame, not Hall of Above Average.

But....

He won when he got there. Twice. But that's another argument.
