Apparently not. Matt Cassel was the next year, and he won 11 games.

Don't get me started on that SB game. Manning should have been called down on the helmet catch play, but I digress. The offensive line came into that game waaaaaay too full of themselves, and I bet BB could have whipped that team into another full F YOU season.

That has nothing to do with anything. Is that supposed to be a valid point?

Not to mention te insane amount of holding on that play and the dumbest defensive call of Belichecks career on the play they scored on and the overall offensive gameplan being just plain stubborn
/me still being mad at that game

It means the team was pretty stacked, why do you keep saying its meaningless?

and there are at least a dozen that could have won the 3 SB's Brady's won so far. He really wasn't special in those years.
lol what the heck makes you think that? Brady was throwing to Deion Branch, Troy Brown and David Givens. Montana had arguable the greatest offensive talent EVER around him

Its a dumb argument. They were two different teams, two different years, and had different styles of play.

Because thats an entirely different team. That year reflects on the coaching job that season, not Bradys career or legacy just like this years Colts team is a reflection on the terrible job the Colts have done at planning and not about Mannings legacy
Also he connected it to the 07 year which makes no sense

cause they were coached by Bill Belichick and had a great D. The offense didn't do anything special.

Freddie Solomon and Dwight Clark and Earl Cooper make up the greatest offensive talent EVER
See ole Tom isn't the only one to win multiple SB without HOF WR's.

How much roster turnover was there between 2007 and 2008? I'm gonna guess not that much.

I never said anything about Brady's career or legacy, fact of the matter is he, like QB's that won or gone to Super Bowls was on some loaded teams, he did not take a Michigan intramural team to the SB.

Well it is consecutive seasons, I doubt they had more that normal turnover. Its not the exact same team, but I bet a lot of key players at other positions were the same both years.

That was the year we attempted to replace Asante Samuel with Deltha O'Neal.
Our already insanely old veterans were getting pretty older too.

You obviously didnt watch both those seasons if you think the 07 and 08 patriots were similar
Offense and the defense played completely differently even of there were still a lot of players were on both squads

Joe never turned the ball over, none of Joe's SB were even close,
I'm saying Montana

Just to make a point, most of the 49ers roster remained the same during those Montana years. Also, he had a bunch of HOFers on those teams. How many HOFers Brady have on his squad?

Whether you believe in counting stats or winning as the measure of a QB, it is becoming increasingly hard to argue against Brady as the GOAT.
Joe has a higher career turnover rate than Brady, btw. He's been better in the Super Bowls in that regard, but overall, it's more similar in the playoffs as a whole.

LOL the 49ers had Wendell Tyler, Dwight Clark, Roger Craig, Brent Jones, Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Tom Rathman, and multiple pro bowlers on the OL. I don't think its a stretch to say that the only offensive Patriots players from 01-06 who could even dream of making the 49ers roster are Corey Dillon and Matt Light
And FYI the 49ers defenses were just as good if not better than any of the defenses Tom Brady had. Those 49ers teams from 84-90 were absolutely loaded at every single position on offense and defense I don't think its a stretch that they could have carried a guy like Brad Johnson to a couple superbowls.

Credit this to the 49ers front office and the benefit of not having free agency
