Norvell pulled a lot of bush league bull shite during the COVID season and struck gold in the transfer portal one season and thought he could duplicate that every year. Then the big boys started using the portal and it all fell apart.

Norvell has had good moments and one great season. Taggart sucked from the moment his first game against Virginia Tech kicked off all the way until he was fired.

He would have if Jimbo didn't leave him a bunch of really good skill players. Taggart was a joke. He did his first walkthrough in a hotel parking lot where the Virginia Tech coaches could see it. He showed up high to practice pretty regularly.

Look, I think Norvell sucks but the interior run game is an actual strength.
The O-line run blocks well and the running back will play on Sundays. The Quarterback sucks behind great protection and the line can't provide any protection at all. They are an awful pass blocking unit. I wouldn't be mad at him for playing towards the players strengths rather than running shite for the sake of running it. More coaches could learn from that school of thought. The crux of the problem at FSU is they are mostly devoid of high end talent. That's not all a Norvell issue, but it is a Norvell issue because he was struggling to recruit prior to the NIL wild west. He struck gold with Travis and hit big in the transfer portal one year

Thank you. I was talking to my buddy this morning (we went to both the FSU games in New Orleans and Orlando) and we grew to absolutely despise them.
