Mike Norvell is worse than Jeff Bowden and Willie Taggart as a playcaller. Just like in 2023 when we were selling kidneys to pay him, he apparently has no idea you can throw the ball over the middle. Slants, drags, digs, posts, delay routes, nothing. It's dive dive dive um maybe a 7 second 9 route then go for it on 4th. I stand by my opinion, he's on opiates. And I'd rather have Rick Moranis or Jon Voight running this team than this grey tipped idiot. This program gave up in that Orange Bowl against UGA. Nobody believes in Norvell. Run dive more times Mike. No movement, no purpose, just pray somebody makes a big play because he couldn't beat a 7 year old in Madden

Yes he is but as a playcaller I have never seen anyone do the opposite of what makes sense more than Mike Norvell. The only reason he kept his job is because we couldn't afford to fire him, and after Malzahn left his decision to save his job was....to call plays again. He just lost this game with that pathetic drive. He has run 6 plays this entire game. We won't stop them again, Lashlee is just better

Norvell is one year older than me and looks like my daddy. In 2022 he was one of the best playcallers in the country, in the second half of the LSU game he was razor sharp. Now he runs dive on 3rd and 8, and looks around like he forgot where he put his vape. He's on something. Bookmark it, something will come out about this dude. It wasn't just bad coaching, in 2024 specifically when DJ Ugalobdbhdhd threw the ball in the dirt instead of dumping it to the RB, he would look around the stadium completely confused why his PS3 offense wasn't working. He's even worse now. He'll get fired at some point in the next month probably, and there will be a story about opiates I'm guessing. He has that look and he simply makes decisions that clear headed people don't make. That he didn't make in 2022

Did Taggart go 2-10? Have you actually watched a Norvell coached team the last 3 years or just Google what he did before the transfer portal got ahead of him?
He struck gold in the transfer portal before teams like LSU, Ole Miss, UGA, OSU, Alabama etc got in on it. That 2023 team was loaded and even then watching him run the offense made no sense but Jordan Travis fixed everything. We could barely get a first down when he got hurt, with a 4 star and 3 star behind him. We were kept out of the playoffs because his offense without Jordan Travis was so pathetic nobody thought we could score against a playoff team.

SMU was the ranked team here. FSU was supposed to lose. Be happy they kept it close. It should have been a blowout if not for SMU’s FOUR turnovers as others pointed out.

Can FSU afford Norvell's buyout? From what I've read it's $51 million now, $45 million at the end of the season.
