Maybe.

I don't even think that if Texas cut loose some of the assistant coaches it is going to save Herman.

I liked Mack Brown but there were signs towards the end of his tenure here that he had made some mistakes. Was he checked out or lazy or did he trust people who failed him? I don't know and that is past history.

I do know that if Herman loses these last two games, which is highly likely, his seat will be red hot. I guess we will see what he does to save his job.

I can see the SEC schedule aggy against Texas in the toilet bowl this year seeing how down we are just to stick the fork in us a bit deeper.

Karma for the way y’all treated Mack at the end.

Last four years he went 30-21, but it was the recruiting failures that did Mack in. He failed to recognize the talent of RG3 and Johnny Manziel (he recruited both as DBs), didn't recruit JT Barrett because he didn't want to hurt Tyrone Swoopes feelings, and the story that Mack didnt even return Jameis's call hurt him.

Oh and in the 2014 NFL Draft, ZERO longhorns were drafted. Speaks to the lack of talent/development.

He got four years of mediocrity. Some of y'all want to fire your coaches after one or two average years.

Better than the next four years.

We’re now in year 6 post-Mack, and Mack’s final 6 were better than the next 6.

It wasn’t Mack. It was UT.

I do not believe that one bit. Mack destroyed Tyrone Swoopes already. Mack should be ashamed how he handled Swoopes.

It was time for Mack to go. The problem is, y’all didn’t fire him in time to snag Saban. Maybe that was never going to happen but Texas had the money to give it a good shot.

Hey, remember. They are Texas, and they get who they want.

Why is he set to receive a 1 million dollar retention bonus on Christmas. How in the hell did that end up in his contract.

B/c school boards and ADs fricking suck at negotiating contracts with sports agents.

I wanted Herman, Mullen, or Fleck for LSU HC.

Granted, I was adamant in 2015 for O to LSU as DL/Recruiting Guru, and for p!ss and vinegar to Les stale staff..

But, was POd at Alleva for giving O the HC gig..

Now, can't think of a better fit for LSU HC.

I knew when Herman's locker room sledgehammer recoiled that it was stripper hooker bender karma..and a bad omen.

A Texas/Texas A&M Texas Bowl needs to happen this year.

I think most people were because O seemed like the last resort after Herman turned LSU down. Had there been a semblance of a search and Alleva coming out and saying O is the man for the job I don’t think the pushback would have been near as bad.

Outside of the 20 DKR years, the Texas program is nearly indistinguishable from programs like Michigan State and A&M. They parlayed that run into “blue blood” status which is really undeserved.

Texas is an 8-9 win per year program for much of their history.

Texas owns a&m all time and the last 25 years.

Aggies will be along shortly to tell you how good they are and how well their team is trending.

They lose to every good team!

i have been saying this for years... who in the hell designated the Texas football program anything more than mediocre status?

they have done absolutely sh i t their entire existence. What? they beat up on SMU TCU Baylor & UTEP for 30 yrs and did so by cherry picking the best recruits in the biggest state in the union.

my question is, how in the flopping hell haven't they won at least 20 titles in their program history?

their a mid level nobody with one of the wealthiest alumni bases in the world. that's. it.

evidently money CAN'T but everything.
