I still can’t believe that 1998 Vikings lost to the Falcons in the NFC championship game

I was a huge Randy Moss and Randall Cunningham fan and I just knew they were going to play the Broncos in the super bowl lol when Vikings Anderson missed the kick and Falcons Anderson won the game in overtime, I was like

The 98 vikings are the 01 Sacramento kings of the NFL.

Relax sweaty, they got embarrassed in the Super Bowl, so it's all good.

They got screwed by their governing body in favor of a team with better ratings?

Agreed. Also IMO 1998 Kansas State is the CFB equivalent to both teams.

I remember the Falcons wearing dog collars and then the Broncos took them for a walk

After they beat Nebraska, I thought they were going to the title game and Aggies tripped them up in the big 12 championship game.

Chris Chandler actually ripped up the Vikings defense that game.

and some how Randy Moss only had 6 catches for 75 yards with a long gain of 31.

Chris Carter had no TD's that game.

IMO that loss and the 2007 Backyard Brawl are 1A and 1B in the rankings for devastating CFB losses. Boise's 2010 loss at Nevada would be 1C had Auburn not come back against Bama earlier in the day.
