2000's USC = 90's Braves

Ridiculous Talent
A shite load of conference/division titles
All but one Championship to show for it(or 1.5 or 2)

Only difference is USC chokes it up in the regular season.

In the past 4 years, they have out recruited everyone by a mile.

They have had 21 5 Star players in the past 5 years. The closest to this is Florida with 12, then LSU with 11.

No one else in the PAC 10 evens comes close to sniffing the top 10 in recruiting on average

And the comical obsession continues...

Actually, this is what USC has to show for it. 82-9 since 02, seven, yes, seven straight BCS bowls (6-1), no loss by more than seven points, two (not one as you say) national championships, seven straight 11 win seasons, finishes of 4, 1 (2), 1, 2, 4, 3 (2), and soon to be top 5.

Meanwhile, I heard this little gem this morning. In the last two-thirds of a season, LSU has lost as many games as SC has lost in three years and only one less than they have lost in four years.

LSu in the pac 10 over the last few years would be almost as impressive as USC has been.

What i heard it on the radio, and its true. When you are the center of the college football world people will talk about you. Sorry. This has NOTHING to do with LSU. I am strictly speaking from a college football fan standpoint. Yes USC has been a better team than LSU since 2000, they have been better than any other team. Thats my point, they should have more to show for it.

USC leads in teams posted here. There are more posts here about SC than bama or any other SEC teams. It is really comical. But you are right USC has nothing to do with LSU, yet the posts continue. And it is not b/c they are the epic-center or have the most wns or anything like that.

I am thinking 94-0 with 6 NC's would do it for the folks here.

Most who claim that USC should have 3, 4, 5 NC's and less than nine losses over 6 years do not know how diffiuclt it is to win a NC, much less lose less games in CF, no matter what conference you are in.

and you lead in pointing this out. God you're such a worthless douche

as far as USC goes its gotten beyond old for them to frick up every year, then go on a tear and beating up on shitty teams including a Big 10 team in the rose bowl, and then have douchey national guys say "well I'll tell you who is playing the best ball right now....USC!"

congrats on possibly being ranked #1 in the Vegas poll again guys

On the MSB, yes. Bama is clearly the leader if you visit the SEC RANT.

Bama and most SEC teams are covered on the SEC board.

USC is the most high profile team in CFB right now and they are very good. This is the MSB, there are lots of threads about the Rockets, the NFL, NBA and other topics in sports, USC is often a topic in the media, so naturally it will be a topic in boards like this. You have now become obsessed with what you call USC obsession. When people start threads complain about 2003, that's obsession.

Nice 5th grade name calling.

You clearly do not know how difficult it is to lose less games or win a NC in CF. There are other factos other than how may games you win in a season, your SOS, and which conference you play in.

No one has more NC's this decade, like with the Braves critism of them not winning more is laughable, winning titles is difficult, could both have won more, sure, but that they haven't should not diminish what they accomplished. Fact is USC will have the same # of loses as the BCS Champ for the 3rd year in a row. Losing to OSU on the road is not worse than losing at home to Ole Miss. Florida has a tougher conference schedule than USC, there is not much SC can do about that short of encouraging some of their 5* recruits to go to other Pac 10 teams.

Better anaology to USC is Florida State in the 90's.

Yet for some strange reason, outside of the PAC-10 (and only during FB season) and UCLA, USC seems to get nowhere near the relative attention it does on other message boards compared to here.

another tangerine special

do you seriously not see the irony in 9000+ posts on an LSU board to tell them how obsessed they all are with USC?

LSU plays against numerous national title contenders every year. With the exception of Oregon before Dennis Dixon went down you haven't played a contender during this 80 win run you are bragging about. If you had that record and played at least 2-3 national contenders every year i would be impressed. Otherwise meh.....
