But the SEC didn't ad A&M and mizzou because either was a football powerhouse

Both we academic upgrades and added fresh TV footprints even though neither we exceptionally large TV footprints

football get the most attention but is not anywhere close to the primary reason a specific school is added.

shite SMU has consistently moved and theyre a joke of an athletic dept. top to bottom

The same could have been said about UCF 2 years ago

Geographically, adding UCF is just dumb.

He does. You can live in Seattle and be a Big 12 fan. You can also live in Seattle and have attended/worked for a Big 12 school.

That's because a Houston program, run by a coach like Herman, in the BIG 12 is likely to become a juggernaut in college football.

they couldn't do it consistently under Yoeman or Pardee

and Herman wont stay long enough

USC OU UT LSU A&M Baylor all have the potential to offer at years end all are either national or Texas programs that offer MUCH better in an average year than uh can at its best

Bill Yeoman took an unknown program and made them a top 5 team in YEAR ONE as new additions to a power conference with UT, TAMU. and Arky.

Pardee was there what, 4 years, and made them an actual national title contender on probation.

It almost proves UH ascension is inevitable.

I could see Tulane coming on board for academics and location. The move from the Superdome for football is a huge negative.

I have little confidence that Houston will get an invite.

Why would he leave if they're in the Big 12? They have a billionaire alum who is opening up the check books. Most fertile recruiting ground is literally his front and back yard.

Houston would be a juggernaut.

Most fans I talk to are all in agreement on Cincy. Its the 2nd team that there is disagreement. Some want BYU, others want nothing to do with BYU. Some want UCF or USF to get into Florida, others want Colorado State to get back into the Mountain Time Zone. There are even some who want Tulane.

But no one I talk to wants Houston. No one.

Personally I don't want to expand at all and stay at 10. But if the Big 12 must expand I say play it safe and go with Cincy and BYU.

wut?

Texas has 7 million more people than Florida and Missouri is 5th in state population out of all SEC schools.

That's a ton of tv subscriptions added for the SECN.

If they get in to the Big 12, he'll stay. Yeoman and Pardee didn't have Tillman Fertitta writing blank checks for the Athletic Department like Herman has. He's bankrolling that whole AD, is on the board of regents, and loves Tom Herman...the only way Herman leaves is if they stay in the AAC and he gets complacent.

Because they called them Cougar High for all these years and now UH kicked the arse of their premier program. What do you thing Houston would do to Baylor, TCU, etc etc etc every year. And take players from Texas

This is the first season in ages where Houston may have a better team than Baylor or TCU

TCU was better last year according to the polls and metrics. Baylor was better when healthy.

Look at the big picture and not the last 15 games
