I hate the tradition of giving kids everything at ball games.

I’ll concede to a kid who was going for the same foul ball but why does every damn thing sent into the crowd belong to some nearby kid and their rude parents?

Bc it’s a kid and you’re an adult who should be old enough to understand that it’s just a damn baseball

There will be downvotes aplenty and people making "get off my lawn" jokes, but I am on your side. I hate going to a ball game and every damned kid thinks he is entitled to a baseball every time a player walks by. Or when watching batting practice hearing every little bastard holler for a ball every single time one is nearby.

And no, I don't want to meet at Sonic to straighten it out.

What’s the difference? It’s a ball. Unless it’s something special worth thousands of dollars, it’s skmething you should give to a kid

Adults really shouldn’t care about getting a baseball or a T-shirt or whatever other trinket is thrown into the stands.

Kids need to learn early that there are no hand outs

I once caught a foul ball at a minor league game in Biloxi.

I was excited until a kids fat mother, that was sitting next to me, told me i should give it to her son. I threw it back on the field, even though it was the home team that hit it.

Im not sure why it pissed me off so much, but I think it was because i had never caught one as a kid and had always wanted to.

Just another part of the new pussy society we live in these days. Continuing to breed entitled pricks.

There's no reason to give it to the kids.

That’s one way to spin it. However I look at it more like we used to live in a society where grown men acted like men and didn’t feel like we needed to be in the front row to get autographs and have baseballs thrown our way from other grown men, usually left that to kids. But however you want to see it

Do you guys not get what I’m saying? I didn’t say I wanted fricking autographs or any of that shite. I said giving kids stuff at ball games that they didn’t even ask/work for is stupid. Why should people feel compelled to give their 3X-Large t-shirt they caught to a kid four rows away??

frick that, I’m going to make bank off that ball on eBay after I wait 2 hours after the game for the players leaving the stadium to get it autographed.

That they didn’t work for ? Ya if they’re throwing t shirts into the crowd I would expect a 6 foot tall adult to be able to get that over a small kid. Congrats on working hard for that. Most of that stuff is intended for kids anyways. A foul ball is one thing because that’s pretty rare/unique to have a chance at. But jumping over people for some t shirt shot out of a cannon? Sorry that’s embarrassing for a grown adult to fight for and keep for themselves in my opinion
