You mean a Vegas trip all the lineman paid for and Martin agreed to after it was paid and then backed out of???? Something the lineman do every year.....

i'd be fine with it if i said i was in and everything got prepaid for. In fact i've done it.
If that's what happened, yeah I would charge that to the game and move on also.
If that's what happened to Martin then no harm no foul. Not sure if that's how it went down though.

But footing a $15,000 Vegas strip club binge? Other extortion methods? That is too far, and I bet if it actually came to it, none of you would be OK with that either.
In regular people money that is like a grand. Its not really that much.
Add to the fact that Martin agreed to go on the trip and pay, but then backed out when it was time to go.....and there you have the problem.

1. Most rookies don't have the dough, that's the issue.
2. So you're advocating being a sheep and just following along because that's how it's always done? Yikes

From one of the articles posted on the site, all the linemen agreed whether to go on the trip or not. Planes, rooms and show tickets were then booked and paid for. Martin was planning to go and then decided to back out after he already committed.
You can believe the extortion story if you want, but it doesn't sound like they took his lunch money and then decided to go spend it in Vegas.
i guess itll depend on if he actually agreed or they just chalked him up as going, and if something happened between the group that might have caused him to back out that wasnt really his fault.
certainly sounds like a situation where ill wait to hear more

I'd quit before I paid for anything. Screw the team.

Nah, I'm just saying pick your battles.
Of course, you can fight it, but that will only make you a joke around the league

Maybe he was overcome with common sense. Not the worst quality to have.

Then you still pay the money.
If my friends and I plan for months to go to Vegas and split the bill a certain way and all of a sudden I don't want to go or can't I'm not going to withdraw my money at the last minute. That's a bitch move.

martin reportedly got over a mil signing bonus and makes atleast 600K per yr. If he cant afford 15k for a trip he was going on then backed out of he needs a new FA.

What taxes is Martin paying on his salary in Florida?
Posted on 11/7/13 at 12:13 pm to DOKA
Yep. He's one of those people who would go bankrupt if he won the lottery. Because he thinks anything above $200,000 basically means "infinity money"

The tradition is like social security. The rookie loses a lot of money to the vet. But the rookie eventually becomes a vet and gets his money back from future rookies.
The winner is the vet who goes for many years and gets a lot of rookie money. The loser is the rookie who gets cut after 1 year.

My bad.
These individuals are opposite ends of the spectrum.
And they both suck... Embarrassments to respected races and would both be traded to the Asians in a racial draft for large family breeding purposes.
Nope. The Asians would choose the Wu-Tang Clan first.
Konnichiwa bitches...

Upon review of that draft black people had a sure fire prospect in tiger woods and he blew it. Traded more than just fried rice for fried chicken but also hot European woman for cast away white girls. He truly became a black man
And the Jewish people drafted Lenny Kravitz, whose assistant dated Ricky Williams, who was a Dolphin...
The circle is complete.
