He probably could have worse numbers and get in simply because he’s a Manning. NFL loves that family.

He made All-Pro 0 times. Neither first nor second team.
Based on the era he played, his yards don't matter.
His completion % is that of someone who played in the dead ball era TBH, the 1970's when passing was brutal. He has roughly the same completion % of Ken Stabler while playing in the pass-happy no defense allowed, can't touch the QB or WRs era.
He won a SB against supposedly the greatest offense of all-time in the 2007 Patriots because his defense held them to 14 points.
If the committee had any honor, they wouldn't let him in. But they'll wait about 5 years and then he'll get in.
Agree with all of that.
Being named to the pro-bowl did used to mean something, but that meaning ended probably 15-20 years ago. Being named All-Pro is a much better measure, because it means for QB, you were Top 2 (or Top 3 if maybe someone got shafted) at your position for at least that year.
Heck, even Mark Rypien was at least 2nd team All-Pro in '91. Eli Manning never had a single season where he played that much above his peers to be given that distinction.

I could see him having to wait a while. He's one of the worst players every to be in the conversation for the HoF, and he has a bunch of his contemporaries lining right up behind him (Brees, Big Ben, Rodgers, Brady) who by comparison make him look like the mediocre player he was.

He’ll be a first ballot hall of famer since they changed the voting rules
Under the new guidelines there will be 5 modern-era inductees selected in each of the next four years of annual voting
Older players and coaches that were normally in their vote will be moved into different pools now, meaning they won’t be taking away votes from the modern players
He also won’t have a packed class when it’s his time to be voted, I think Luke Kuechly and Adam Vinatieri are the only player that will be up for eligibility that year.

It should take literally forever since he doesn't deserve it.
I say second Ballot however

Namath was a New York player with a New York personality. Plus, he had what is still probably the most significant victory in Super Bowl history. Add to that, he was the first to post 4,000 yards in a season. Namath was getting in no matter if he truly deserved it or not.

I think he gets in based on his last name and his 2 Superbowl runs.
But comparing him to his 2 main contemporaries he came into the league with, he is easily the worst between him, Ben, and Phillip.

irst ballot because he played in New York and beat Brady.
Not saying it’s right.
And his last name won't hurt. Being a #1 overall pick, long career with one team, and his brother being a top 5 all timer. He'll get in but it would be interesting to see if he was a joe blow mid round pick without the Manning name and had the same career. I think he'd be thought of as a Trent Dilfer type QB with some clutch performances in big games.
Should not be ranked ahead of guys like Michael Vick or Phillip Rivers but QBs are judged so much on superbowls that he will be.

Should he get no?
No, not even close. He's behind Brady, Rodgers, Peyton, Brees, Rivers, Roethlisberger, Warner, Favre, Wilson in just his era/overlapping era's
I'm sure he will get in but it's undeserved

First QB ever to throw for 4000 yards in a season...... but IMO Griese is the one that puzzles me... sure he won two SB’S , but he was on some serious stacked teams. In his second SB game he only three 7 passes.... and the year before when the Dolphins went unbeaten he was out most of the year.......

He probably shouldn't be but he has some of the biggest highlights on the biggest stage.
He stopped an undefeated Patriots team. The Tyree play in SB 43 and the Manningham play in SB 46 are all time great Super Bowl plays.
That's why he'll get in because more people remember that stuff than him throwing a bunch of interceptions in the middle of some season they went 7-9.

He beat Brady twice in the Super Bowl. Had a damn good career. Not many qbs can make some of the badass throws he made under the biggest of pressure.
This...should be easy selection
