I doubt his entourage is on a payroll
Also, I don't think agents get more than 10 percent, if that.

Lol. I know a pro athlete who signed for about $6.1 guaranteed and his take home was just north of $3M. I'd say Johnny saw close to $4M of $7.7. Certainly more than a million and a half.

Grandfather still gives him an allowance

His claiming that take home pay is "maybe" 19% is fricking moronic. 50% is probably a decent guess. The highest rate a sports agent can charge an NFL player for playing contract is 3%. The highest marginal federal tax rate is about 39%. Since so much is above the top end cut off it is going to approach and probably be within a couple percentage points of that as an overall rate. The Ohio state income tax for the highest bracket is about 5%. Let's call the tax rate 43% for simplicity sake. The attorney and whatever money he decides to give to his entourage isn't costing over $2.5m right off the top to knock the 7.7 down to 1.5.
Smh at some of the ridiculous blind assertions around here.

Manziel has money from signing autographs and club appearances.

Hopefully his grandfather goes down soon for being an enabler.

His dad just said that JFF has more money than he does so he keeps outrunning him. Plus he flies coach so at the end of the day he has more coke money

Have you burned your Browns jersey?

I doubt his allowance has ever been cut off by the family

Also had endorsement deals with Nike and Snickers so factor those in as well. I'm not saying they are anything extravagant but I'm sure those helped supplement whatever NFL income he received.

And I don't think he's spending as much as some may make it out to be. I'd imagine the bulk of the drugs and drinking and clubgoing is free on his part. So mostly just flying around and then paying for places to stay is likely the majority of his expenses, if I were just guessing.

Dude probably doesn't even pay for a place to say, shows up in a club (which he gets in free because he is Jonny Manziel) and then meets a girl to go home with.

His family is very wealthy, part of his issue. He has an unchecked will.

He made $12 million between the Browns and Nike in signing bonus and guaranteed money. That's just the big money, he made $200K, the day he got out of rehab with an endorsement of a fantasy MLB app.

He is sitting on fat stacks of autograph $, and other perks picked up from aggie boosters who are still ecstatic he helped A&M to a 3rd place finish in the division of their conference and a victory over Duke in the chicken bowl.
