Wichita can play very good defense. One of the more complete teams in the tourney.

They were 31-4 this year now 32-4 after beating a good Dayton team tonight. GoldenNugget hates them for some reason because they have no wins vs NCAA tourney teams. As today showed, that shite doesn't really matter. Ok State has plenty wins vs tourney teams. So does Seton Hall and Va Tech and Minnesota. How did that pan out?

Wichita State has the talent and coaching to beat anyone in the country. For some reason, they continue to get disrespected because their league sucks. WSU, KU, & Louisville are the only 3 teams to finish inside the top 15 of the KenPom for a reason.

Kentucky will beat them silly. Kentucky has 2 guards and a Big man that will be drafted in the 1st round.

I think WSU can beat Kentucky this Sunday, but this will be there downfall in this tournament. They have no guard play. Shamat is a stud, but that bald douche Frankamp showed why he was never gonna be shite at KU, he can't create space on his own.

WSU has 3 guys at the 3 & 4 spot who can play with anyone. That won't be their downfall, the guards will.

Kentucky's lapses in play can spell their own doom.

They do some dumb shite sometimes.

I can't figure out if teams are seeded based on their resume or how good they really are. I hear the experts refer to picking/seeding the "best teams" all the time but the field seems to be chosen exclusively based on resume.

They were absolutely crushing teams at the start of the season. For some reason they've completely forgotten how to extend their leads. It really bit them on the arse against Kansas specifically.

It is really hard to get a read on them, but they desperately need Monk to get out his slump to make a run.

I don't get the Coach Cal love from fans wanting him to coach their pro team for that reason. Whenever I'm watching UK, I'm never in awe of the X's and O's or their in game management, it's the talent on his teams and the player management that makes UK so good.

Great College coach, not somebody I'd want coaching my pro team.

I can see Kentucky going to the final four. I can also see them losing vs Wichita State. Such a volatile team

Yep. Waiting to see if Cal finally got the light turned on for this team. We might find out tomorrow, but likely not till next weekend.

I'm OK with Monk struggling while we don't need him to play great, but his game will have to come back together quickly for UK to make a deep run.

Anything WSU does beyond this is lagniappe. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year, roster packed with underclassmen. They took their lumps early in the season, but seem to have figured it out a month or so ago. They'll be dangerous next year and the following. So well coached.

You do understand that Kentucky has probably the best big man in the tourney, right?

no shite. i dont think hes the deciding factor. WSU's front court is very good and i think they keep him in check. i think if UK wins this game, it will be because of Monk and Fox

still like WSU in the upset

If monk and Willis hit shots, UK wins pretty comfortably. Wichita will have to play zone to cover for UK's guard speed. The shots will be there...But will they fall?

They didn't beat any tourney teams but they would have at Illinois State been put in like they should've been. They are number five on Ken Pom ranking. they were six point favorites over, and subsequently drilled, a team that the "objective" committee says is vastly superior to them. No big wins but why are losses ignored? because it fits the bias. Vanderbilt had so many losses you need an abacus to count them up.
