No but someone else should have taken it. That was an aberration that we will not see again.
Yea the 2 loss thing didnt sit well and should never happen again. That being said, people need to stop acting like no team has ever lost to an unranked conference opponent and then made it to the BCS title game.

how the frick can u bring in 2007 to compare to this season is atrocious.
bama the team in question had their shot at home and played a weak arse schedule.
ok st beat 5 teams in the top 25.. both teams only have 1 loss.. one won their conference with a much better resume.. how the hell does this bullshite relate to 2007 is beyond me.. LSU was conference champs.

Did LSU not play AN EXTRA GAME AND EARN IT?
Youre missing my point.. OSU deserves to go, because, like LSU, they DID win their conference title, which Bama did not. LSU (in 2007) wasnt disqualified because of a regular season loss to an unranked team, and OSU sure as hell shouldnt be either.

LSU has not beaten everyone in the top 5~10. Someone else deserves a shot before we start throwing Bama back at them to try and knock them off.

I would not mind seeing OSU get creamed by the SEC. Once again solidifying the SEC as the best.

Because bama has had an amazing season with one close game. A loss in overtime to the #1 team in the country. In sorry tennessee didnt win 7 games and texas did that doesnt account for osu losing to iowa state as a 28 point favorite. The bcs is solely designed to match up #1 vs #2 not the best in the east vs the west or conf champs. Its an inheriently flawed system that lives off the opinions of those whose livelyhood depends on it. I dont care about arbitrary stats like who beat more teams with higher sagarin ratings look at all 12 scores and watch film. Bama didnt need luck or have a sweat vs any team other than lsu all 11 wins were by 18 points or more. Osu went 2-1 with highest margin of victory being 7 against three teams with a combined 14 losses. Do you honestly believe a victory over texas or missouri is more impressive than beating florida or auburn?
