re: 30 for 30: The Marinovich Project

I read many stories and quotes from him how he would be coming of binges playing for the raiders. I don't remember if he said he ever played high.

He would eat homemade catsup, prepared with honey. He did consume beef but not the kind injected with hormones. He ate only unprocessed dairy products. He teethed on frozen kidney. When Todd was one month old, Marv was already working on his son's physical conditioning. He stretched his hamstrings. Pushups were next. Marv invented a game in which Todd would try to lift a medicine ball onto a kitchen counter. Marv also put him on a balance beam. Both activities grew easier when Todd learned to walk. There was a football in Todd's crib from day one. "Not a real NFL ball," says Marv. "That would be sick; it was a stuffed ball.
Was anyone besides Marv surprised he turned to drugs?

That's how the SEC CG works.
How can Santa not know this?
And the BCS works as it was designed to work.
In the hypothetical, UF has "been there, done that". remember the mantra of many this weekend- No need to beat the same team twice for a championship.

No shite. It's the current system, JUST like the BCS used it's system.

It's pretty telling how you all won't admit it pretty much the same thing.

Let's say LSU loses to Florida, but wins he West in a landslide. Florida is the East champ by an equal margin. Is it fair for LSU to play Florida in GA for the SEC crown?

actually, most of the players (current & former) players I know are pretty ticked off about getting shipped off to Hawaii to play an unranked opponent...what I heard is the USM AD for some reason turned down the opportunity to play Penn State in Dallas (i forget the bowl name)...
Given the post right above yours, Fedora probably talked to his players about which bowl they wanted. could be wrong though.

I understand the stupid penalties and all, but the Saints rolled, penalties or not. Come on Chris, you're a saints lover- give them the due props down the stretch.

most southern fans, including myself, are pretty upset about this shite.
They have only their own fans to blame. Southern fans refuse to fill even half of the seats at The Rock, even with this stellar season. With no auto tie in, I am sure the Liberty Bowl would rather a team that will likely travel well. With that being said, I am sure the players and coaches are stoked about the islands, as opposed to a short jaunt to and from Memphis. I hope Southern does well. A twelve win season would be great.

Looks like they get to spend Christmas Eve in Hawaii against Nevada. Not sure of the payout, but the players must be excited going to Hawaii over the holidays. And a good shot for a 12 win season. SMTTT

They did a great job. It pits the two best teams against each other- at least the best according to the BCS.

Despite the fears of many LSU faithful, it will have done what it is intended to do- that being matching the two best teams. Stop being pansies and get over it.

Per the BCS, LSU and Bama. The BCS tries to match the two best teams and those are the two best, IMO

You all have to admit that many, if not most, of the P and G just seem overly concerned with Bama getting in . I have never seen such a mob mentality for "fairness" on the rant.
I'm out. We'll see tomorrow night.
