You asked about outright conference championships. Championship games would break any ties.

A win vs. Tulane? at least choose a team that we haven't beat several times in recent years.

They beat your arse the last time you played them and they have a 80% winning percentage against you guys

As would head to head, or simply having the highest winning percentage in conference play.

If you call winning by 2 points after 4 OT periods an arse beating then more power to you

Rebuilding the former New Orleans Bowl Champions with a fresh office...that story just sells itself to Disney. I can already see it...Dennis Quaid, starring as Billy Napier.

Not true. Auburn and LSU are co-champs for 1988 despite LSU winning HTH.

I'm just quoting what the article says. Respecting the author's work, if you will.

I've always been amused over the years how that triggers LSU fans for some reason. It never fails.

Napier will be the 1st coach in the school’s history to eventually leave them for a better job.

I member that one. Real muggy night, lots of players were cramping up. Not the greatest or cleanest CFB game ever, but 4 OT’s was pretty badass.

Cajun fans, I currently have picks on them -14 against Grambling and O4.5 wins. Do I have any reason to be concerned, or any general thoughts on the season?

I think the offense will be solid, still don't know who the QB is but I expect Levi Lewis. We have a very good set of running backs and receivers and a solid offensive line.

The defense is a complete unknown. I think we're going to score but I'm not sure how much we're going to stop people

I was there. It was a fun game to attend. I really like the on-campus stadium at Tulane. Has a great feel to it, but should have been built a little bigger to attract better OOC opponents. It makes for a great football weekend trip.

I would say you’d be pretty safe on the O4.5 wins.

The biggest question mark is QB. Jordan Davis (last years starter until getting injured) left the team after the spring. It still hasnt been announced who will start. The 2 main candidates are Andre Nunez and Levi Lewis, who both got starts last year after Davis went down. Napier is the qb coach and will be calling the plays. Hopefully Napier can find someone he is comfortable with.

Did Davis ever announce where he’s going?

Not that I know of.

La Tech fans, what's the sentiment around the Bulldogs not hiring a 10th assistant coach this year? Looks like they'll be the only team in the country without one.

Seriously can't be that hard to scrounge up $60,000 can it?

It was built to allow future expansions if it is needed.

I don't know about all of that Saban stuff, but he hired a good staff, so I think he'll do well, at least for a few years.
