Since the start of last year, Notre Dame's 16 wins have come against teams that are a combined 62-91 vs FBS opponents (.405) and 32-78 vs P4 opp (.290). Take off the 16 L to the Irish and its 32-62 vs P4...

And they still will be in the playoff if they lose to Miami

The secret sauce we see now is to have a patsy schedule filled with big10 or acc teams

It’s really 11 teams selected for playoffs plus Notre Dame. Their schedule guarantees a decent record.

Notre Dame is a relic of a program that’s still trying to run a 1977 business model in 2026. Their handpicked schedules are an embarrassment.

Auburn and Notre Dame have never played each other. We tried to schedule a game with them for decades and they wouldn't even pick up the phone. We have five straight losing seasons and fire yet another coach and suddenly Notre Dame wants to play us?

Looking back at 10 years of their schedule for their 12 toughest opponents... make that their season now and they probably end up 7-5.

They beat #20 USC on 10/18/25. USC finished 20 AP 21 Co.
They beat Navy on 11/08/25. Navy finished #23.

I’m assuming you’re responding to TigerBait, who is likely an LSU fan.

I’ll ask this:

How old were you when Notre Dame last won a football national championship?

How old were you when LSU won their 3rd most recent national championship?

Actual blue bloods don’t go 38 years between national championships. Your program is a relic of the past.

This is reason #1 why independents should be excluded from the playoffs. It's a built in advantage that they make their own schedule.
