Dude it's hard to spin 64 free throw attempts but by God you're doing a fine job

Clippers defense sucked all night and outside of Griffin everyone played like shite. The lack of any offensive flow due to CP3's absence was glaring. Rockets kicked it up a notch in the 2nd and earned it.

They def weren't sharp. Lots of turnovers in half 1 of this game too. Shot like crap too. Finally in q4 we saw a few 3s fall and they took good care of the ball. That's really all they need to do to be successful.

Looks like the Rockets found something this game. Ariza effectively shut Blake Griffin down.
McHale took Smith and Jones out and had Ariza front Griffin. It was very effective.

Claiming rust in Game 2 after playing just the other night. I swear.

Well 22 of those FT were intentional due to hack a josh, hack a Dwight, or at the end of the game...so there's that

Yea in the first game literally every Clipper that played more than 10 minutes had what would be considered a good game for the player. Tonight you saw the exact opposite. You'd think that in general going forward their role players will play better than tonight, but not as good in Game 1.

Ariza was giving Griffin fits in that second half.
Huge win tonight

I appreciate the effort, but facts do no good with the haters.

Going to be hard for Ariza to guard both Griffin and Paul.

I thought Doc did a horrible job of handling this which is worrisome because it shouldn't be difficult to beat someone attempting to front. Some hi-low action will get a team out of that quick.
Tbf to Blake he looked absolutely gassed in the 2nd half. I honestly feel like once yall made that big run late that they should have just conceded this game and get him some rest. They did their job of flipping homecourt already.

So they only needed 40+ free throws? Which would still be 10+ more than the Clippers shot.

Which isn't a huge gap, considering that the Rockets strategy involved getting to the line. They don't take midrange shots. More layups = more free throws. But we've been over this many times.

I mean, they were fouling a lot. How many times did you see a foul called where you said "that wasn't a foul..."
There really weren't any that I can recall.

Take away the hack-a by both teams and their was less than a 5 foul discrepancy. With Jordan in foul trouble HOU attacked the rim the clippers didn't.

That was the most head-scratching thing. Howard had 4 fouls early, and the Clippers did not attack him nearly enough. Doc really coached a terrible game tonight in every way.

I thought the refs were atrocious, but not in a favoring either team way. I do think yall are better off with tight whistle though.

What I want to know is why did Ric keep Jordan out of the game for so long? The Rockets had so much more trouble when he was in the game.
I know he was in foul trouble, but he was on the bench in the 4th for way too long.

The lack of CP3 really showed up tonight
