Not necessarily, no. Rebounding rate is affected by the quality of the those opposing the rebounds. That's why d12 is so impressive after having faced Chandler and Jordan.

If you want to compare across years then you should look at how players compared to the rest of the league in those years. D12 has lead the league in rebounding 3x times more than Jordan.
Defensive rebound rate this season, Spurs 4th, Mavs 29th. Offensive rebound rate, Mavs 24th, Spurs 25th.

Keep em coming.

i hate to revive this beast for today, but doc says CP is 50/50 for Game 2.

Rivers also said that if CP3 can play, he will play, so it sounds like Rivers is more interested in having Paul back in order to put Houston in an 0-2 hole, rather than giving CP3 an additional rest day.

Rockets just have to stop turning over the ball so much. I also find it frustrating that this team has yet to figure out how to close halves.

Harden went full Dwayne Wade a couple nights ago shooting 20 footers with 15 seconds on the shot clock, trying to get a foul call, which ended up being wasted possessions.

When the Rockets are playing well, watch out, when they are playing badly, they would lose to the 76ers

I think Houston wins big tonight, and everyone calms down.

Every series will be 1-1.

Well Paul is not likely to play, so they should win tonight, not really a bold statement.

It doesn't look like Paul will be anywhere nearly healthy probably for a couple more games, so with that, the Rockets are probably safe.

If he can play at a high level by game 3, it'll be a good series, but I'd be concerned as a HOU fan, the Clippers would have the advantage going forward.

I'm already concerned as the Rockets gave a game away against a team who is mediocre without Paul

Unless Paul is feeling really good, I don't see a reason to play him tonight. Hamstrings are nagging

It's good for the rockets and Even though I dislike Paul, I hate to him get hurt like that in the playoffs. Guy gets a shite playoff rep for nothing

I think if he can play, he should play regardless. But who knows.

my final MSB crusade involves Paul getting a ring or at least to the Finals, this seems like it may turn out to be a real bummer for me if they lose this series cause he can't go.

Don't want to miss 2 more games by reinjuring it to play 1 game. Hamstrings need rest.

That's why I mentioned "if he can play", as in to say, if he's deemed to be in a good spot with the hamstring.

They definitely shouldn't be overly cautious and/or use winning game 1 as a determining factor IMO.

I guarantee he can play, but that thing is never going to be fully healthy for this series. It will constantly be a game of risk vs. reward.

If this wasn't the playoffs, Paul would be missing several games and he absolutely would not have returned when he injured it.

I think Houston should absolutely win big tonight. Harden needs to come out and play inspired ball and prove why he was 2nd in the MVP vote.

I just listened to SVP and Russilo's talk with Chauncey yesterday and thought they made a lot of good points. I mean, all of them slammed Harden for his defensive effort, which you just can't do in the playoffs, and dogged pretty much the entire team. Billups made a good point IMO saying how Beverly's injury causes Harden to play worse because when Pat just hounds a guy coming up the court and then Harden just loses his guy, you can rip into James and he feels bad for giving up the points after his teammate worked so hard.

I still think Houston is in this series so I wouldn't be overly worried if I were a rockets fan, but that was definitely the most embarrassing performance for any team in the playoffs so far and I'd be pissed my team played like that.
