Agreed. I’m sure he would be very interested in Tua if he were in a position to draft him.

He’s taken guys with more injury concerns and less upside before

Now I don’t think he’s keen on throwing the kitchen sink to get into the top 5 and even if he was he can easily be outbid by teams more eager to do so. But if they were drafting closer to the middle or top 10 he would deffinitly be having an eye on where Tua slide

How many more draft picks would they have to give up just to Get Burrow instead?

The moment any of the picks before Miami’s are offered a deal from NE, they’re calling MIA saying “NE is looking to get Tua... what will you offer” because Miami won’t lose out on Tua especially if it’s a rival looking to trade in front of them.

I think that’s a pretty ridiculous notion

What’s ridiculous about it? Bill likes players that will be good in the NFL.

I can’t imagine BB paying the rate it would take to get Tua anymore than I can imagine him paying the rate and then starting a rookie QB

Well if that were universally true he wouldnt have picked Cyrus Jones, Jordan Richards, or Chad Jackson.

That’s some bullshite Belichick would do and you know it. Would be hilarious to say the least.

If Tua dropped to 10 or more I think he'd pull the trigger. They don't have the currency to move up into the top 5 without destroying this draft and losing Gilmore and/or Thuney.

That goes against everything Belichick has ever done. He like to trade down, accumulate as many picks as possible, and play the numbers game that he'll get some quality contributors with more players coming into camp.

I don't think that is something Belichick would do.
