I've heard different things on this.
I'll say this, his coaching methods wouldn't fly today. Of course, anyone else that coached during that time would be in the same boat.

If the dude got fired in 1979 for abuse allegations you KNOW it was pretty damn bad.
SJWs didn't run the show back then.

Everything about him that Remember the Titans peddled was a lie.
His players hated playing for him and he was eventually fired for his cruel treatment of them. His "good friend," Coach Yost, was one of the ones insisting he get fired from the position. He and some of the other assistants walked out on their jobs and refused to come back until Boone was fired.
