2010 LHSAA 3A state championship thought for sure we had that game won at halftime just to come out and play horribly in the second half.

Since I rode the pine for that one (just like every other football game of my high school career) I’ll use my 2 mile in district my junior year. Was far and away one of the top 3 runners in our district (top 4 made regionals) and would’ve likely made state if I had made regionals. Ran like complete dog crap and finished like 8th. For some reason that race has stuck with me even though I ended up finishing third in the two at state the next year.

Shocked that was allowed.

Town next to mine won the baseball state title with an ace like that. Well afterwards it was realized they had violated AHSAA rules and over pitched him. They had to forfeit their state championship.

Not sure there was any rule against it, but I was basically throwing every 5th day or so.

how can you not say the saints against the vikings . i sat in front of my tv for like an hour after it was over and said nothing

The Vikings were moving down the field and close to FG range. The final play sucked but the game was clearly not in the bag.

High school basketball up 8 minute to go in playoff game. Freshman SG turns it over 4 possessions in a row and I kick a bounce pass on a break. We lost by 6. 14-0 run in last minute to lose

There were two kids (cousins) who were running their mouths about how good they were at basketball on the bus one day (this was in high school). Said they would absolutely crush me and a buddy of mine. We had the the height advantage so we were like, let’s ride over to these dudes house and hand them a butt whoopin’

We road our bikes over one day after school and they proceeded to shoot our eyes out on they’re little raggedy goal with no nets. That was a long bike ride back to our neighborhood

HS basketball tournament quarterfinals

We were up at halftime by 15. The second half they came back and beat us by 1 with some help from home grown refs ( we had 10+ fouls after half they may have had a few)

Our team hit a last second desperation 3 from between the right wing and half court. Refs waved it off but anyone who filmed the game you could clearly see the ball released before the buzzer (no red lifts on backboard).

We signed up for the competitive IM basketball league at UGA, and not the fraternity league, on accident one year.

I’m still shocked that refs let it keep going. 114-40 was not fun.

We played John Ehret in a football playoff game my senior season. We won every stat except the final score. We had almost 600 yards of total offense, but didn’t score touchdowns.

Majors division in little league:

We were undefeated, facing off against another team that hadn’t lost. We were beating those Orioles 10-0 after 4 innings. I believe we needed to go 5 for the 10 run rule to go into play. We proceeded to lose 13-11 in 6 innings. That game kept us from winning the championship.

Baseball game in high school. we were a small, but good, 1A school, playing the #1 team in 5A early in the season.

Went up 14-3 in the top of the 5th, needed 3 outs to get the run rule and win the game.

Since we relied on a handful of soccer and basketball players who were still in the playoffs in their respective sports, we only had about 12 players dressed out.

We ran out of pitching and they proceeded to score 21 consecutive runs and run rule us 24-14 in 6 innings

Pretty deep in the playoffs, my club soccer team was up 4-0 at halftime. We spent the entire half dicking around, only to lose 4-5. The game broke us up. Our best forward quit right after the game. More than half of us quit playing with the club in the following weeks. It was the beginning of high school, so we had school teams to go to, but that shite was rough. Basically, the team we were playing had some super sub, and by the time we realized was was happening, it was 3-4, and we were completely on our heals. We all knew we were going to lose. Looking back, our coach really put us in a terrible situation. We had subbed in some garbage midfielders, thinking it was over, and we were just leaking goals trying to solidify our formation after that.
