What Olson did was much more impressive than what K did if you really think about it.

He built Iowa and Arizona took them to FF at schools that had no clue about basketball or cared

Duke had a foundation and history to build on.

Larry Brown and Lute Olsen are his equal? Might as well include Roy Williams if you really want to be the contrarian of the evening.

Then you have no clue about coaches and what those two have done.

Larry Brown is arguably the greatest basketball coach to ever live.

It really is crazy how well he's adapted no matter what level you put him on. Had Mudiay been eligible at SMU, they'd have been a force to reckon with too.

He's been a great coach, but he's also laid major goose eggs in some of his (way too many) coaching gigs.

He's laid 1 with Team USA and the JV team

If the original team would not have backed out they win in Athens. Wade and LeBron were no way ready for that tournament and USA Basketball changed it's camps because of Larry Brown begged to have a team instead of an all star team.

If you want to blame him for NY fine, but he took LAC to the playoffs with a roster like that with an owner that didn't meddle.

There is no coach who has faced that much difficulty and succeeding. Just the sheer amount of coaching difficulty in terms of turning around so many programs/franchises

Not that anybody would have done well, but his Charlotte stint wasn't impressive.

Regardless it's just hard to say he's as great as coach K when he hops from place to place.
