Has any sports fad caught on and become played out more quickly than "tarps off"?

When it first happened it was funny. Recently it's come back and you see it everywhere. I watched a Sportscaster the other day and multiple highlights had references to or content around the guys with their "tarps off".
It's become cringey. What say you tOT?

The internet/social media tends to make things come and go rather quickly. Something is trendy, it gets copied a million times in 24 hours.....people complain about said thing.
Good times

I feel truly blessed that I have no idea what you're talking about

I like the play but this is an example. Whole section of Cards fans (all dudes of course) with their shirts off and pasty white skin glowing. They will usually wave their shirts over their heads.

This must have been what a bunch of retarded kids were doing during an LSU baseball game a month ago

somehow, sometime soon, that will get used as a description of white male toxicity.

It was a fad during football season. Even LSU students had a good one going one boring late season game this year.

Sounds like I'm about to be a Tarps off supporter then.

Not Cards fans, they are the Stephen F. Austin club baseball team that played nearby and went to the game.

They should be allowed just as long as they pass the interview process. We can't the fatties participate

They must be a big team because there are hundreds of them. Also, the embedded video includes highlights from multiple Cardinals games.

The viral "Tarps Off" shirtless cheering trend was born on October 11, 2025, when an Oklahoma State fan stripped off his orange shirt and waved it over his head in an empty section to win a $10 bet during a football game against Houston

I remember that going viral and then fans at different places starting doing it in big groups
Did not know it was still a trend and given a name

I thought the wave had in 1988 but some shameful fan bases still do it.
Left/right same thing.
