the NBA would never allow this. Miami makes way too much money for the league and to be quite honest, they can't afford for that to happen. the script was written at the beginning of the season. Miami will be gift wrapped another championship.

Except for those recent times the Pistons won. And the Spurs. But other than all those times over the last decade or so, so true.

Pacers aren't catching anybody by surprise this year but I could see them winning a game or two. No way they can win the series though

LeBron isn't going to let those amateurs keep him from what is rightfully his.

son they have the number 1 defense in the NBA
#2, defensive rating is a much better standard than points per game.

The Grizzlies are a solid team and not the best matchup for Miami, but Miami is better and I'll always take the better team in a 7 game series. I may not be right, but I like my odds.

If both teams make the Finals, how does the league lose money if one or the other wins?

ALso, the Mavs won in 2011, how'd that work out for your theory?

Also, last year, it would have absolutely been better for the league if the Heat lost in the Finals, I don't think anyone would disagree with that. How'd that work out?

no, points per game is the only stat that matters when it comes to team defense.

Grizz are a healthier, better version of Chicago.

Unless their outside shooters go nuts, Miami has already shown it can adjust to take out good interior presence. I'm sure Grizz would win a game, but 2 or more is doubtful.

I don't really like that comparison.. gasol and randolph are way more of a threat offensively than boozer and noah... and they've got athletic defenders (allen and prince) who have a much better shot at controlling wade/james than anyone on chicago.

As far as matchups go, the griz would be a tough out for MIA, IMO.... they have the size inside and play excellent defense... and they'll also have the advantage at PG. I just don't think they have enough scoring to win a seven game series... Heat in 7, if it comes down to it.

I'm not saying Chicago is in the same breath as Memphis. They're not.

But both teams have a good interior presence and are tough defensively, right?

Memphis beat the thunder by 6,6,6 and 4 with Westbrook out. It's obvious they would beat a healthy heat team in 6.

The Grizz don't have the consistency in their outside shooting that they need to keep the HEAT from sagging their defense in on top of the bigs.

And even if Wade isn't healthy, Bosh is miles better than whoever you want to call the Thunder's 2nd best player in this series that just finished up. Memphis won't be able to triple team LeBron without any consequences since Bron is such a better passer, and the shooters+Bosh for the Heat can make teams pay.

Besides, the Spurs are probably going to beat the Grizzlies in the WCF anyway.

They took OKC to 7 games 2 years ago with Westbrook, Durant, and Harden.

You know basically the same team Heat beat in 6 games last year.

They had a winning record over them WITH Westbrook this year.

In the middle of the Heat ridiculous winning streak the Grizzlies nearly knocked them off in Miami. They stomped Miami earlier this year in Memphis.

I think they split the series last year as well.

Nothing against Memphis, they are a good team, but that was last year.

Heat won in 5 and the heat are better this year.

Regular season basketball.....I watched all 5 games and I think OKC with Westbrook wins this series 4-1.

Again, regular season basketball. The Cavs and Magic almost beat the Heat too during that streak. Still wouldn't pick them in a 7 game series against the heat.

REGULAR SEASON BASKETBALL.......
