You may not, but then you’d end up like the Big XII, barely existing and seeing only one school (and it wouldn’t be LSU) be successful.

what if i told you there was other ways to stagger payouts that dont make it top heavy and also reward those that contribute more than others

I think there is (or was, can't find it now) a rule in the SEC Bylaws that if a team made a post-season tournament they would get a slightly larger cut of the pie as a reward for success.

I know it isn't as drastic as other leagues but the EPL does reward table placement and TV appearances so there is some variability.

Certainly helps but FSU and Miami are in that same footprint and ability/willingness to spend is definitely holding them back.

Pretty much every conference does this except the Big XII.
