Brett Favre was only supposed to be able to play 5 years according to a team doctor.

but he was undoubtedly a HOF before the roid use.

Sure he was but his numbers (not just HR's) went through the roof after he admitted his steroid use (post 1998)

We'll never know how good he was gonna be without juicing.

Ja'Marr Chase is average 21 yards per catch but is also 7th in the NFL in YAC.

That is absurd.

Barry Bonds may be the most gifted baseball player ever. He was a hallmark of farmer before he took steroids and had he not been caught up in all that shite (by his own doing) he may have had a case for the greatest player of all time.

His numbers before bulking up on steroids are hall of fame worthy and he should be in.

Yeah he was almost Mantle level....but his roids took it to another level...stratosphere...A level he's remembered by and re-imaginged.

His slugging % averaged around .550 like Mantle, his batting average was around was less than Mantle but then his 10 year roid years got him to .298 exactly like Mantle.

So he would've fallen a little short.

Bonds' legendary year was like nothing else I've ever seen.

476 At Bats: 73 dingers, 156 singles, 32 doubles, 2 triples, 177 walks, and 9 HBP.

That's getting on base 449 times out of 476. I just remember thinking if they throw him a strike at all he's getting a hit.

Also, Happy Gilmore is the only guy who took his skate off to try and stab someone.

Had no idea Robert Woods was so good at the 400. He wasn’t in the same league as high school Michael Norman a few years later (the gold standard) but was in the exact range as guys who made Olympic and world relay teams.

Barry had 156 total hits in 2001, not 263 (which would've been a record, I believe).

He struck out 434 times in his entire 20 year career. That’s less than 22 time per season. He only had 34 multiple strikeout games in his career.

Dude was amazing.

There used to be a video of him winning one of those 100;s, dude was ripped and around 200 pounds, not the 240 pound Diesel.

He also won the long jump at 22 feet something.

He ran a 20.14 in HS that was the second fastest ever at that time (Roy Martin 20.13 who went on to make the 88 Olympic team)

maybe because of WGN showing the Cubs games with Harry Caray calling them, but Sandberg was one of my favorite players growing up.
Dude was a baller, it wasn't just about athletics. He was the heart and soul of those Cubs teams. And 40 HR, even at Wrigley, was impressive back then.

I still identify Greg Maddux as a Cub, not a Brave.
