Great athletes with shocking “I didn’t realize that” stat(s)
Randy Moss only had 2 seasons (02,03) with 100 or more receptions, yet scored 156 touchdowns. I would have thought 5-6 if not more 100 reception seasons.

Desmond Howard won the Super Bowl 29 MVP without registering a single offensive or defensive snap. Solely special teams. I remember watching this game but for some reason I thought he played some snaps at WR.

If you take away Hank Aaron’s 755 HR he would still have over 3,000 hits.

Barry Bonds may be the most gifted baseball player ever. He was a hallmark of farmer before he took steroids and had he not been caught up in all that shite (by his own doing) he may have had a case for the greatest player of all time.

His numbers before bulking up on steroids are hall of fame worthy and he should be in.

Tommie Frazier, after being sidelined for 8 weeks with blood clots, returned to start in the national championship game... defeated the Miami Hurricanes in the Orange Bowl, where they were practically unbeatable, against a defense that featured future NFL first-rounders Warren Sapp, Ray Lewis, Kenard Lang, & Kenny Holmes. He was named MVP, his second of three straight NCG MVPs.

This is why I think that 95 Nebraska team can beat that 01 Miami team. That option attack was brutal on any defenses. Would be a heck of a game.

I remember thinking in 93 when FSU finally got the NC "frick we're going to have to play this guy 2 more times if we get back to this game"

Pete Rose would still rank 16th all time in hits if you only counted his singles. 3,215

Babe Ruth recorded a no hitter, without throwing a strike.

Warren Spahn 4 years after his debut hadn't won a game, finished with most wins for a left hander.

Ted Williams won the triple crown twice, neither year he was MVP.

Ted Williams hit .406 and led the league in HRs and runs scored, and wasn't named MVP.

Johnny Bench and Ryan Sandberg retired with the most HRs and most Gold Gloves at their positions.

It's amazing how many people aren't aware of Babe Ruths pitching.

Ted Williams hitting 406 and not winning the mvp due to Joe D and his hit streak is an injustice.
I think it had to do with Ted Williams contempt for the media and vice versa.

Ryan Sandberg gold gloves were a joke.
The guy had no mobility and pretty much only fielded balls hit right to him.

Because of this I've always wondered if he has regrets about taking steroids. I know he felt he had to keep up with McGwire and Sosa and was tired of them cheating their way to stardom, but he was undoubtedly a HOF before the roid use.

Unpopular opinion but i don't think the HOF really means that much when you're in a nice big house with a pool and whatnot counting your money from your playing days still. That's for other people to decide so c'est la vie.
