NASCAR has TV contracts to run X number of races for each network in a season. They are going to meet their obligations to get that TV money.

So do I. Watching cars go around an oval track for hours on end is not my idea of a good time.
I appreciate Formula 1 where the drivers at least have to negotiate a serpentine course, often on city streets or some remote, scenic location with lots of shite on the sides of the road to test their skills----like trees, cliffs, boulders, etc.

I like F1 and some of the courses are awesome but majority of the races suck and it gets boring watching the same two or three teams win every race.
Also, there is no trees or boulders on the racing course itself.

Yeah, my mistake. I'm more inclined to watch TT Motorcycle Races and my favorite is Isle Of Man and there have been a lot of very serious accidents and many deaths on that course over the years.
Guys on 2 wheels going well over 100 mph for much of the course traversing through the countryside on 2 land blacktop roads and taking in small towns is my definition of insanity on a motorcycle.

Formula 1’s politics are indeed over the top but I’d be inclined to say the motorsport with:
Stage racing
Competition cautions
Traction Compound
“Playoffs” determining champion
No consequences for just wrecking guys
Is probably the “fake”
Just my opinion
