I don't really have an issue with that. I mean, they literally won the championship being the best team in the whole world. Not egregious.

So does that mean the fighter of the year has to be a heavyweight every year? A welterweight would not last long with a heavyweight either.

The reason it's a joke is because women's MMA has such a shallow talent pool. But her winning "fighter of the year" is still understandable...

But her winning "female athlete of the year" is a joke. Serena Williams holds all 4 Grand Slam titles right now in a sport that is much deeper with female talent than MMA. Yet Ronda wins. That is a joke.

You put Rousey and Mayweather in a room together, tell them to fight, walk out and lock the door...

You can unlock it, go back in in about 1 minute and Mayweather will have a broken arm and be crying.

Just stop watching ESPN. I get all my news from TD anyway and you'll be better off

You speak the truth. Oddly enough I can still follow sports just fine without it and SI too for that matter.

What's not for pc purposes is a straight quid pro quo financial deal.

11 fights, 7 title fights, 2 world titles.

Just under half an hour total in the cage.

You're ridiculous.

Let's say Serena Williams is given 6 months to train and prepare. What are the chances that she could beat Rousey? Williams is only slightly bigger, but I would think has the edge athletically (strength, speed and stamina). Would that give her a chance?
