It can be and advantage, sure, but without effort and training, you won’t be a good defender no matter how athletic you are.
These players are lazy, and it has shown with the product put on the court. They even get zone now which helps them have to put in less effort, and still whine.
In the end, it is one part of it, but is a typical excuse when these types of players begin to dominate the league.
He didn’t seem to say anything like this when Harden was the MVP candidate and is the epitome of a horrid defender.

He was wildly inefficient for his career. This is a joke. His career ts% is like 52%. Even his best years wouldn't touch top 10 numbers in any category this year.
