Unless Robert Lester turned into a fricking ghost, then there is no way in hell that Gronk was going to able to catch that ball. Lester is already breaking to the ball before Gronk even tried to change his direction.

Which is completely Irrelevent

Its completely relevant in the fact that it makes me not gives a frick about since it wouldnt have changed the outcome of the play.

The refs should have explained it, thought, I will agree with that.

Robert Lester jumped the route before Gronk was held. Not that it negates the penalty, but people saying that was a TD without the holding are crazy

plus, the pass catches both Gronk and LK off guard. They were both out of place thinking the pass would come over the top.

Holding cannot be called when the ball is in the air. That is all he is trying to say. If there is a call, it has to be pass interference, since the contact comes after the ball if out of Brady's hands.

I'm pretty sure that is not true. No mention of an exception to defensive holding in the nfl rulebook

I figured with all of the shite talking going on in here... another stupid and thoughtless post was necessary.

figured the Panthers would win anyway.

do you think your Broncos will win up in NE on Sunday?

I remember that game.

I was at a bar during that game. An Alabama and Auburn fan got into a fight... imagine that.

watching Auburn/Alabama games at bars can be pretty entertaining.

Side walk fans a plenty.

I can't stand the patriots, and that was definitely a joke of a no call by the refs.

You keep saying "no way he catches that ball".

First off, you're probably right, but you can't say that with 100% certainlty. Even tho it's probably 99%

Second, he doesn't have to actually CATCH the ball to affect the outcome. All he has to do is cause the ball to be tipped into the air to give someone or himself a chance to catch it. For anyone to say there is no way Gronk could have caused the ball to get tipped in the air at the very least is just trying to argue with someone.

I guess they were reading the Brooks thread from earlier today and decided that they were gong to call penalties for the last 5 minutes of the game.

I fully expect a split between the 2 games in Mew Orleans and Charlotte

Then again, Carolina had 10 points at the half.

NO defense >>> NE defense

This. If this was not a penalty, look for more attempts to break up a play in similar fashion. Now you can bear hug a guy in the EZ, or anywhere maybe? if the ball is still in the air. Buillshit flag pickup!

No one says he would have caught the ball. He was effen HELD before the ball was anywhere near him. Holding should have been called. Not sure where it woul have been spotted but the Pats shoul have had one more play. Anyone thinking otherwise is a Carolina homer.
