holding in the endzone.

ball should have been spotted at the one yard line for one more play.

Holding but Gronk really didn't make any effort to make a play because the ball so under thrown. If he had tried to swim or something it would have stood.

Serious question. Why does an uncatchable ball only count if overthrown? I'm sorry but Gronk doesn't even get close to that ball even if #59 wasn't near the ball.

I don't get why everyone is going apeshit over this one.

I've been on the terrible call side all night, but this is a good point.

It's almost as if Kuechly did it knowing a flag would be thrown. At least it would've stopped the TD on THAT play. He just happened to luck out when the official picked up the flag.

yeah, he really didn't.

but what usually happens when a hold occurs in the endzone?

b/c that is a hold, forget PI.

where do they spot the ball on the next play?

It looked like when he dipped his hips to come back to the ball he couldnt because of Kuechly's momentum

I don't understand how that isn't a penalty

If it's a hold, they move it down the field 5 yard.

PI places it at the 1 I believe.

Holding would've been a five yard penalty and an automatic first down. One untimed play would've been run.

Gronk is clearly slowing down to come back to the ball. The Panther LB is holding him and doesn't allow Gronk to even attempt to catch the ball.

that is what I thought too.

maybe he wasn't trying because he was trying to draw a holding penalty or something?

I don't know.

pretty weird play really.
