Chris spurned the shite outta both pop and LeBron to come play with harden. That piss kawhi off bc it indicated to him that spurs can’t attract star talent. That lead to him being on the outs and the trade. Now the spurs have the worse five year outlook of any team in the league. Paul to the rockets broke the spurs. Well it put the finishing touch on it. When Timmy left they were done. Pop won’t win another playoff series.

I’m all in on cheering for CC vs GSW...though I’m 99.9% certain you are going to make every MSB NBA thread miserable for the next 10 years if they pull off the upset.

You guys and Philly are the only two teams that can beat GSW in a 7 game series imo. I just want someone to beat them so they don’t even entertain the idea of running it back. Houston’s our best shot. Put them out to pasture CC.

Yeah man, if they get this Kawhi they’re a much different team. Siakam and Leonard are both 7-9 with 17 points. That’s wild.

Gotta be a little deflating though. It felt like Toronto smashed Philly that quarter and its only an 8 pt game.

ETA: Lowry’s gotta be the x-factor this series if Toronto wants to win. They’re not gonna win 4 games because Leonard/Siakam went nuts. They need him to step up and make some plays. He doesn’t need to average 20/10, but he’s gotta be able to have an impact in key situations (when Leonard sits/when Philly’s on a run/get guys going early/etc)

That’s mostly true even if they manage to squeak out a win over the one matchup they had any chance to win.

Yay stupid scheduling has this game starting after the second round begins. Ridiculous. Their playoffs take forever. Schedule like the NHL I’m sure the players can take it.

I don't see a problem with this

I know I'm an idiot, but I really think both eastern conference series will be upsets

It’s poor hyperbole, miserable isn’t the right word. Let’s just say I don’t know which one to take if there was this prop bet:

Boom brags about making GOAT quit in a non CC thread
Over 1000 (-110)
Under 1000 (-110)

That would be my pick as well honestly. Philly just has more playmakers/more size/more versatile defenders.

If Embiid’s knee can’t hold up though, they won’t win this series AND next series. They might squeak this one out barely, but they’ll lose to that other winner.

If Philly can make Lowry the X factor I like their chances. Guy always fall short.

Dude he’s got teammates who have combined for about 60 on ~80% shooting.

The guy is 3 for 6 with 7 assists and 1 turnover.

He’s doing exactly what he should be doing tonight.

Nobody plays the beautiful game more beautifully than Kawhi. The man has such a sexy, smooth game.
