Like, I went from being miffed over no foul being called on DeMar's drive, to wondering what the frick we were standing around for

No one should be bragging about winning this game.

The winner of this series should be thankful the Blazers were the 3 seed instead of Houston, Nurkic is out, and Kanter is unlikely to be anywhere close to 100%. A fully healthy Blazers would smash Denver in 5 or 6. The Rockets would sweep these Nuggets.

It looked like Pop was yelling at his players to foul and they did nothing. Either the Spurs players had money on covering the spread or they decide to quit on Pop in the last minute for whatever reason.

i think they were just stupid/unaware and couldn't hear the bench screaming because the pepsi center was so loud

Craziest thing I've ever seen. It's like they thought it was still a one possession game.

Even if Kanter was healthy, I’d feel about 70/30 blazers win vs Nuggets. Without Kanter for at least a few games, I’d flip that ration to 30/70.

I’m shocked Pop didn’t step out there and foul someone himself

they had to. i mean, that's awful and inexcusable, but there's just no way they quit.

I’d lean Nuggets if you made me pick today because Kanter’s injury sounds painful as hell, and I can’t see him making it deep into a series.

I just have no idea how they’re going to contain Jokic. Meyers Leonard. Skal, Zach Collins. Ouch.

ETA: I honestly would not be surprised at all if Skal has his coming out party vs the Nuggets

Zach might be decent but his per 36 fouls is not good... Jokic is the type that will eat Leonard. Leonard can “defend” stiffs about the best you can ask of him. A guy like Jokic who is a point center and constantly moving? Leonard will be burnt toast.

I’m curious to see if we can force them out of the Jokic/Plumlee duo they’ve used many times and had success with. The high PnR will be impossible for either to guard.

I’ll go out on a limb and say Skal will be starting by game 4 or 5.

Couldn’t have happened to a better team than the Spurs. Thank god.
