My BIL's work transportation from the airport to hotel got pulled over and robbed by 4 gunman there last month. Driver was in on it. First thing I asked him was, "You see the soccer stadium with the mountain in the background, pretty cool huh?"

lol yep. It's a damn shame. I know a guy that would go there for work all the time. It was some kind of financial hub. They had bribes as part of their budget and eventually just closed that office because the COO got robbed at gunpoint by police officers.

If somebody could clean up the corruption at least in that area it would be awesome.

Not only would you get into Puerto Rico, but the team could become the team that all of Latin Americans latch onto.

Lol no

For one you can get a mens soccer scholarship

Two college soccer isn’t real soccer, the rules are nothing like how the game is played. The best players at that age will never look at college soccer as the avenue to take bc 15-18 years olds in other countries are full on professionals and will be light years ahead of a college soccer player

You obviously don’t know how Title IX works. It has killed a lot of men’s sports. It’s also why Women’s Softball has full rides and Men’s Baseball is almost all partials.

If football was decoupled from the NCAA, it would be easier to have equal scholly opportunity between men and women.

Baseball or basketball, maybe.

I don’t see hockey or football being a big draw in Omaha.

So how come it's still a defacto welfare state with a horrible economy and horrible job statistics?

There isn't a more expensive undertaking in all of pro sports than a MLB franchise and locating to a broke welfare state with a 20,000 seat stadium makes zero
sense.

You don’t know shite about college soccer

Just because it’s not a mens scholarship sport in the SEC doesn’t mean it isn’t in other parts of the country.

An ownership group along with the city

The city proper doesn't need to be involved in any kind of hockey franchise. It has to be located closer to their fan base in North Metro.

The Braves move to Cobb has been a unparalleled success and the best move the franchise ever could have made.

Heck, they sell out women's volleyball... and if you don't think they'd be successful in football, you're nuts... those are the most rabid football fans I've ever met in my life
