For losing by 58 in the NC last year. TCU was a “most deserving team”

They got past the first round. Notre Dame, OU, and Michigan have had multiple chances to do such a thing yet Michigan still got in easily

I look at it more like UGA screwed themselves this year by throttling TCU last year. It allowed not only the ESPN poster child Bama to get in, but more importantly vaulted Texas into it as well...because the committee wouldn't be able to explain themselves with only Bama and not the team that beat them on the road.

Has it sunk it yet? Texas gets in after beating a shitty Okie State team while coast to coast #1 all year UGA barely loses a fg game. Makes no sense.

Wrong. This is a collaboration between ESPN and the CFB playoff committee. Given that ESPN is airing both semi final games and the championship game, there was not a chance in hell that the SEC champion was getting left out.

The SEC is ESPN’s “product”. Had Georgia won it would have all worked out nicely. The only 4 undefeated power 5 champs Georgia Michigan Washington and FSU. Bama is out with 2 losses and Texas is out with 1. But when Bama wins you can’t get the SEC in without Bama and you can’t put Bama in with out putting Texas in due to their head to head win. FSU was collateral damage.

Bring on the 12 team playoff.

I think FSU could beat Mich even with their backup qb. That D is legit and they have way more team speed.

I can't believe people are still bringing up TCU a day later like they think it's a good point.

Been saying this for awhile. Nothing to do with hurt or suddenly acting like Florida frickin' State is TCU.

ESPN is in bed with the SEC financially and ESPN so happens to have the CFB rights. Its out there in plain sight to see the monopoly... I won't even say collusion because the playoff committee is not a separate entity from ESPN...make no mistake.

UW is a more physical team than Oregon. I’d bet they win this game.

C'mon Bro.
The OP was feeling so good about his post and then you blow it out of the water with the first reply.

It is a good point. They got destroyed on the main stage by a vastly superior SEC team that had a huge talent advantage. They were not one of the best two teams in the country. Just because they beat a soft arse Michigan team last year doesn’t mean they were deserving to be in that game.

Which is obviously why there needs to be a minimum of a 12 team playoff. Mike Leach is and always has been right

Michigan and Texas are going to get beat quite easily by Bama and Washington. We’ve seen this movie many times before. Michigan has played no one this year who is top tier. They are a fraud as was Ohio State this year with McCord at QB. McCarthy is not a top tier team QB. He has seen no defense like Bama’s and will have no answer.

Congrats to Texas for beating Bama in game 1. You’ve ridden that 1 game for 4 months now. But we all saw the OU game. And Washington is a much better team with better coaches than OU. At the end of the playoff they’ll be handing Saban another trophy. And then we’ll run it back next year with everyone sucking off Michigan and Ohio State again for playing absolutely horrible schedules which will lead to them getting smoked in the playoffs.
