Crashed on a recon ride and sounds like a compound fracture. I was looking forward to team Ineos dualing each other for the win. This might be hard to overcome at 35.

They still will be. Bernal will be on the podium.

His dangerous sport is fishing. He cant seem to go without a trip to the hospital.

Should open up the field for sure. Some of his wins have looked way too easy.

I'm obviously not a TdF winning professional, but I dont take my hands off the bars to blow my nose at 40mph

he's England's Lance Armstrong

without the testicle cancer or doping (that we know of yet)

ETA: he would've been 1 of... if not THE favorite to win the Tour de France again this year... even though he's not the reigning champion... Geraint Thomas (another Brit) is wearing the #1 this year

Froome was favourite and this massively opens up the race, you’d be a lot more confident about cracking GT than Froome (although I love G)

Weren't they reconning a TT course? I know these guys' bike handling skills are other-wordly, but I wonder if he was on his TT bike? Taking hands off of bars on a bike at nearly 40 MPH is ballsy. Doubly so if he was on his TT bike.

Froome is known for having poor bike handling skills.

I've been recording and watching the Critérium du Dauphiné. They run a one hour show per stage at 1 am on NBC Sports.

Froome was there, and the team sent G. Thomas to the Tour de Suisse as his tune up race for the TDF.

I was thinking last night that it would be damned interesting to see how that shook out once they hit the mountains in the TDF. Oh, well.
