Ineos has confirmed he broke his femur, elbow, and multiple ribs. dayum.....

His femur came out of this skin for the compound fracture? Or was it his elbow?

Eff that either way.

Bernal is recovering from a broken collarbone. I think he will still do well, but he will be in support of Thomas. Fuglsang, Pinot, Yates, Nibali, and Thomas all look strong.

He would have been one of the favorites, but he hasn’t been that special yet...truly just working on his form. Whereas, a guy like Fuglsang has been riding well through the Ardennes and in stage races.

With the parcours this year with less TT I think a more pure of a climber like Pinot or Quintana may win. I’d love to see Pinot grow a goatee and wear an all black kit and start calling himself “Pinot Noir”

Reports sound pretty bad. Broken elbow, ribs, leg, and pelvis. Very likely could be a career ender

Bernal seems fine. He was back to training a week and a half after crashing. Been putting in some insane training in Colombia, but the lack of racing will be interesting.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a career ending injury for Froome. He was already coming up on the tail end.

I think Bernal has one more year, especially coming off the collarbone. Ineos will race for Thomas one more time I think.

If a bone isn't coming out of his skin then you may want to take that word "compound" out of your OP.

ETA: I missed the word compound in the article. Ignore me.
