I’m assuming some MMA guy… do you think he knew who Brian Urlacher was?

He didn't need to know. Bas is one of the baddest dudes ever.

I was greatly disappointed to learn this after this video began circulating a while back.

I love the stories of Bas Rutten, Guy Mezger, and Ken and Frank Shamrock going into bars back in the 90s. Always some drunk musclehead who'd start shite with them.

What would urlacher do? Tackle him to death?

This is one of the dumbest posts in the history of this board.

Bas could’ve LITERALLY ended Urlscher’s life very easily that night and I don’t use that word often.

Rutten walked around 225-230 when he wasn’t cutting.

So two large men, one of whom is one of the baddest men on the planet who was a champion kickboxer, ufc fighter and who was a world class striker vs the guy who runs around and tackles people in pads and they get up and have a nice rest between plays.

But the world class killer is supposed to be worried about the overrated linebacker?

Like the time when a former UT linebacker got squared up by smaller Roger Huerta in a parking lot. Didn't end well for the football player.

Bas was probably the most advanced striker of his era.

He used to fight in Pancrase, which didn't allow closed-fist hand strikes, and I'm pretty sure he still knocked dudes out with his hands.

He's also the master of the liver shot. You can look up compilations on Youtube of him taking dudes out with them.

He basically trained the succeeding generation on strikes.

Seriously ?

This fight would have lasted 5 seconds.
Rutten would have delivered a kick to the liver & that would be it.
Urlacher would be lucky if he didn't end up in the hospital with a lacerated liver.
To a professional fighter you are a target rich environment because you don't know what you're doing.
To a professional fighter you look like you're moving in slow motion.
And Rutten wasn't just a professional fighter, he was a champion.
