and you don't think the SEC could get a national deal with them? lol
No. They wouldn't. ABC already has deals in place with other conferences. They aren't going to rip them up to air SEC nationally.

wow, great point. Clearly, CBS has made us.
WTF are you talking about? You are said ESPN would give more coverage if SEC had the deal with ABC and that just isn't true. They are going to cover the teams that get the best ratings the most and those teams are in the SEC for the most part.
and one more time, the SEC is going to partner with ESPN for the SEC Network. ESPN is going to cover the SEC out the wazoo just like they have already been doing for years. Did you not notice how much more effort they put into their SEC media days coverage vs the other conferences?
oh and BTW, the SEC partnering with CBS for full national coverage for all these years absolutely helped make it the powerhouse it is now.

There are few things worse than a FOX college football broadcast.

My only beef with CBS is Verne and the lack of primetime games. Change these 2 things and I'm happy.

Will we only be able to see half the score like we do in NFL football?

IIRC, the Cotton Bowl a couple of seasons ago b/w LSU and aTm was on Fox....
they've had college football, in some capacity, for a little while now, i thought? maybe the OP means regular season games....
and yeah, i hate CBS too.... too much douchbaggery and obvious bias by commentators, editors, producers, etc..... certain teams can do no wrong, some win despite themselves, etc..... it gets old...

CBS took a chance with the SEC when they signed the deal with us back in the mid 90s. They also were the first network to air a game during the middle of the day nationally, so that way people on the west coast could watch the SEC. They certainly helped with our brand exposure.

Agreed. Why CBS doesn't milk it's fall saturday cash cow with two-three SEC games each week bugs the hell outta me. Whats sad is they could fit three in easily if they would stop running so many commercials for their own crap.

The Herbie/Brent Primetime game is national.
Isn't it?
Not always.
Correct. The primetime game is usually the important game. Plus "regional coverage" of the Notre Dame game if that important game involves the ACC or Big 12.

This is news to me. Good news. More games the better.
